Translate AbiWord in many dialects

Right now a group in the National University of Micaela Bastidas of Apurimac (UNAMBA) is organizing a translation of AbiWord in the Runasimi of Apurimac.
We also hope that Quechua speakers from Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Northwest Argentina, and Southern Colombia will help us make versions of AbiWord in their dialects. You don't need to have much technical knowledge in order to do a translation, because it is just a text file. There are also programs like poedit to help in the translation. We are looking for people who want to organize translations in their area.

If you want to do the translation in another dialect or improve an existing version, read these instructions for starting a new translation and these these instructions for updating an existing translation.  You don't need to know English to do a translation, because we have a program instrans.php to insert Spanish translations into the file that is going to be translated into Quechua.  With this program you can translate from Spanish to Quechua.

Improve and complete the translation of AbiWord 2.

Roughly 10% of AbiWord is still not translated into Quechua. Moreover, many parts of our translation rely heavily on Spanish loan words. If you have suggestions to improve the translation please send your comments to amosbatto AT yahoo.com. Or better yet, you can download the file and translate it yourself.
